The challenge

The job market for drivers is tight, and online vacancies don’t reach everyone. Van Happen Containers needed a way to reach the exact drivers who already travel through their service area every day, without becoming “just another LinkedIn job post.”

Our approach

If you’re looking for drivers, you need to be where they are: on the road.

We developed an out-of-home campaign using LED impact screens from within our network along high-traffic routes in Eindhoven and Helmond:

  • Hyper-local placements on routes with heavy truck traffic

  • Short, punchy copy readable at a glance

  • A clear call-to-action leading to the vacancy page

For an entire month, potential candidates passed the same message multiple times per week not in a feed, but in their natural habitat.

Why it works

  • Relevant context
We only speak to people who are actually driving in the region where Van Happen is hiring.

  • Real-world repetition
By repeating the message on the same routes, curiosity builds:
“Who are Van Happen Containers?” → website visit → application.

  • Surprise on familiar roads
The screens weren’t there before. Even drivers who know every turn by heart get surprised and that makes the message stand out even more.
